[ Sp.733 Mandarin Phonetic Symbols Postage Stamps (I) ] Chunghwa Post released postage stamps featuring Mandarin phonetic symbols on March 20th. Mandarin phonetic symbols are crucial for Taiwanese children to learn Mandarin Chinese letters. There are 37 Mandarin phonetic symbols in total. The first set contains the first ten symbols. The postage stamps are designed in squares, similar to the practice books children use in elementary schools. Each stamp is valued at NT$6 and represents a different administrative area. Some postcards are designed to pair with the theme of postage stamps. For instance, the Guanyin meetup card pairs with the symbol 'ㄍ(k) '. The card showcases several Guanyin tourist sites, such as Baishajia Lighthouse, Guanyin Caota Sand Dunes, and the lotus festival.
